The spaces we inhabit can affect our mood, energy and physical health. Given most of us spend a good portion of each week working, being in a well-designed space is essential.

When Kyle Broadhurst of Broadhurst LLC reached out to IDG to spearhead their new office renovations, we knew it was important to deliver something spectacular.

Broadhurst LLC is a boutique corporate and litigation law firm. Our goal was to create an environment that energized, inspired and worked for the needs of its growing team.

At IDG, we know a great office has the potential to motivate, promote productivity and lead to game-changing results. We were so happy to help Broadhurst LLC design the office of their dreams.

After the project wrapped, we sat down with Kyle to discuss the company and its new and improved space.

Tell us a bit about Broadhurst.

We’re proud to have experts in many different areas, but our core business is as a specialist litigation firm.

We are one of the few Cayman-only firms regularly instructed in large-scale international litigation and insolvencies. We’re also very active locally, frequently being engaged in local disputes and providing advice on various legal issues.

When you decided to begin renovations, what vision did you have in mind?

We needed space to accommodate our growing firm and had been in the same location for a while, so we decided it was time to make a change.

We met with the IDG design team to discuss concepts for the space. Our firm focuses on dispute resolution and is often asked to assist clients with complex problems, so our offices needed to be modern and clean but comfortable.

When we communicated this to IDG, they ran with it and quickly provided the framework for what we have now.

Why did you choose to work with IDG as your interior design partner?

We were aware of IDG’s work in other locations and were impressed. The team has great ideas and helped guide us through the entire process. They are first class!

Which of the new design features excite you the most?

The bookshelf is something that the whole firm enjoys. While not visible to clients, it serves as a focal point in the working space and encapsulates the vibe of our office, which is focused but fun.

The front desk and reception area are stunning and provide the clean, professional look we wanted.

Last but not least, the main boardroom takes advantage of our excellent views of the George Town waterfront, with a design that is both elegant and comfortable.

With the renovation complete, what’s on the horizon for Broadhurst?

With the restrictions in place, we have not been able to utilize our meeting spaces as much as we traditionally would.

We look forward to things returning closer to normal and being able to welcome clients into our beautiful new office.
